Volunteering at Baytree
Volunteering roles at Baytree are diverse and give potential volunteers the opportunity to be involved across all our services; Youth, Women’s, Volunteer as well as administrative and communications support.
Whilst volunteering there is also the opportunity to move into different or more challenging roles or apply for vacancies within the organisation where possible. Volunteering at the centre is term time only, and due to the nature of the centre’s provision the roles are open to female applicants only (Equalities Act 2010 Schedule 9: Occupational Requirements).
Our recruitment process involves receipt of a completed application, attendance at a volunteer induction session, DBS screening and mandatory training in the volunteer role of your choice.
Our GEMS clubs offer academic, creative and physical activities during the academic year, term time only. Volunteers are invited to lead or support these clubs which take place Monday – Thursday between 4pm – 6pm, and Saturdays 10am – 12.30pm.
Whether your skills and passions lie in creative activities or you are more academically-minded, we have a role that will suit you. Clubs and sessions include art, cookery, dance, yoga, drama, maths, science, ESOL and more.
We ask for a commitment of 1 academic term to 1 year.
Volunteering opportunities in the Women’s Service range from providing administrative support, ESOL class support and one to one support.
We also welcome volunteers who are seeking to provide administrative support, ad-hoc support or skilled-based support on a short-term basis. We are very open to new ideas for activities and will consider activity suggestions that fall within our mission and ethos. Do get in touch if you have an idea, or would love to give back in this way.
