At The Baytree Centre we look for staff who will be able to engage with our beneficiaries and inspire them to achieve goals they hadn’t dreamt of by raising their aspirations and motivation. Core to all our provision is character education – this is what makes Baytree unique in the sector.

Our beneficiaries’ learning is central to the work of the Centre, but we also believe that for this to happen our staff must be inspirational. Not only what we teach and how we teach it, but also what we do and how we behave are absolutely fundamental to ensuring that our students want to learn and learn well.


Academic Coordinator Baytree

We’re recruiting a brand new academic coordinator to join our youth team! If you’re up for supporting our young women and girls to achieve their academic best and nurture their lifelong love of learning we want to hear from you. You’ll offer vital guidance and support to young women and help them build their confidence and self belief.

Building Young Brixton Opportunities 

Baytree is part of Building Young Brixton (BYB) a Lambeth based partnership of 6 local youth, community and education specialists, working together to provide a multifaceted service for young people affected by social and financial disadvantages, risk of exclusion and gang involvement across Brixton Town Centre Wards.

Delivering place-based interventions and projects, we support young people to improve outcomes in 6 areas, providing them with key building blocks to support them to become successful, confident and civically engaged individuals: developing social and emotional capabilities; improving engagement in education; preparing for employment and careers; supporting mental well-being; developing positive relationships; increasing civic participation. We’re currently recruiting for two roles;

Partnership Coordinator:

The BYB Coordinator will act as the linchpin between partners, responsible for ensuring the integration of services, cross- referrals, scheduling meetings and shared activities, brokering multi-agency partnerships, representing BYB at relevant meetings, and supporting partners with project deliverables where necessary.

Youth Worker

The BYB Youth Worker sits at the heart of our BYB Partnership, working with children and young people aged 8-24 years on a diverse range of projects and services. Acting as the lynch pin between BYB’s 6 youth teams you will work with each organisation on an ongoing basis to support delivery of BYB activities, ensuring young people play an active and meaningful role in service delivery and are supported to access the wide range of provision available through the BYB partnership.
