At The Baytree Centre we look for staff who will be able to engage with our beneficiaries and inspire them to achieve goals they hadn’t dreamt of by raising their aspirations and motivation. Core to all our provision is character education – this is what makes Baytree unique in the sector.

Our beneficiaries’ learning is central to the work of the Centre, but we also believe that for this to happen our staff must be inspirational. Not only what we teach and how we teach it, but also what we do and how we behave are absolutely fundamental to ensuring that our students want to learn and learn well.


We are looking for an experienced youth worker to support the development of the Building Young Brixton (BYB) partnership project and the partner organisations working with young people. We are seeking someone who is passionate about taking an evidence-based approach to improving the lives of young people through innovative youth work and a focus on collaboration.

About BYB

Building Young Brixton (BYB) is a consortium of 9 Lambeth-based organisations working together to inspire and empower young people in Brixton. Our multifaceted youth service offers a wide range of opportunities and support to empower young people to build the lives that they want: personal development programmes, education & employment support, coaching & mentoring, and therapeutic recreational activities.

With over 100 years of collective experience supporting Brixton communities, our consortium consists of: The Advocacy Academy, The Baytree Centre, Ebony Horse Club, Grove Adventure Playground, High Trees Community Development Trust, Indo-American Refugee and Migrant Organisation (IRMO), Juvenis, Marcus Lipton Community Enterprise, and Spiral Skills.
