Family Support

Your role

Volunteers provide support and assistance to the Family Service team in the preparation and delivery of one-to-one personal development sessions and group workshops. They build positive connections with women enrolled on to the PEACH Plus programme and motivate them to pursue excellence in areas of personal development.

Commitment

4 or 6 hour weekly commitment for a minimum 6 months (term time only).

ESOL for Mums

Volunteers needed to teach a Beginners ESOL session on Saturdays from 10.30-12.00pm for mothers enrolled on the PEACH programme. The group will be a will be made up of approximately 5-10 mostly Spanish speaking women. The main aim of the session is to boost the learners’ confidence and encourage the them to speak, read and write in English. TEFL, CELTA or similar qualification desirable but not necessary.

Into School

Volunteers needed to cook and have lunch on Monday or Tuesday from 1.00-3.00pm with the girls enrolled on the Into School programme. The session will involve planning, shopping and cooking healthy and varied meals on a limited budget. However, the main aim of the session is to create a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging the for the girls to chat, practice their English and have fun.

Admin / Social Media Support

Volunteers needed to support the youth team, adult and parents team by taking on varying duties in the office. Hours are flexible.
