A professional dance teacher gives lessons in streetdance. Streetdance teaches discipline and self expression and is a fun way to encourage the girls to exercise and work together.

Female African Dance Tutor needed!

To teach a one hour dance session on a weekly basis in our centre, based in Brixton, South London. All participants will be female and aged 10-19 years old. Successful applicants should demonstrate an ability to choreograph routines relevant to the rising Afro Beats scene in the UK. Ideally, you will also possess a teaching qualification. Successful candidates should teach in an inspirational way to motivate and engage the young people. An enhanced CRB disclosure will be requested.

Sessions will begin week commencing 13th Feb 2012

Tuesdays from 6-7pm

Location: South London, United Kingdom

Payment details: Dependant upon experience

Acting Master Classes - Mousetrap Theatre Project (Girls Only)

For those thinking of pursuing a career in acting/ theatre. These sessions aim to develop listening skills & self-awareness, to boost self-esteem and confidence and to build interview and employability skills Every Thursday from 23rd Feb 6-7pm

Baytree Funketts Entertain Guests at Taste of Baytree 20th Anniversary Celebration Event

On Thursday 19 May 2011 the Baytree Funketts (Baytree's own streetdance group) performed for guests at the Centre's 20th Anniversary Celebration event.


For the second year running the Baytree's street dance group - The Funketts - performed at The Tamezin Song Festival. The audience really enjoyed the show and the Funketts enjoyed another opportunity to perform on stage. A video of their performance can be viewed via YouTube here.
