Science Club is one of our most popular activities. Girls learn about all aspects of Science from how the body works to chemical reactions. The club is run by volunteers with strong scientific knowledge and helps to provide the girls with inspirational leaders.

In December 2009 the Science Museum Outreach Team visited Baytree and held a workshop and a demonstration for maths and science club girls and their families. The ‘Get a Grip’ workshop examined force and balance, giving the group a chance to take part in a tug of war and build their own hovercraft. The ‘It Takes Guts’ show followed the journey of food through the human body and lived up to its description of ‘a gross-out, squirm-inducing demonstration’!
